The Holy Ghost

‘When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak of his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future’ John 16:13

God, by giving you and I His Spirit, is saying we should not live natural lives and die like ordinary people because we are supernatural. So how do we live supernatural lives? The first key is the Holy Ghost. You must experience Pentecost. You must experience the person of the Holy Spirit – God’s Spirit. I remember back in the day when I gave my life to Jesus, I was skeptical about the baptism of the Holy Spirit because of a lot of things I had seen. I knew I was saved but I opted out of speaking in tongues because I did not understand it and at least I was going to go to heaven. But the more I read the Word of God, the more unexplainable hunger it created in me for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. So alone in my room one day while I was reading the book titled Tongues of Fire, I got to a point where the author said stop now and drop this book. So I dropped the book and said to God ‘I don’t know about anyone else but I know You are God. You have saved my soul I know, if You are really interested in baptizing me in the Holy Spirit then here I am’. And immediately the Holy Ghost flooded my life in an unexplainable way and I prayed in tongues from that night till the next morning. For me, that was my introduction into the supernatural. The truth is that there is no short cut into the positive supernatural; you can only enter in by way of Jesus. Then through Jesus you open your life for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is the first step to begin to operate in the positive supernatural.

It is important for us to know that there is the positive supernatural and the negative supernatural. When Lucifer rebelled, he and a third of the angels that left with him created the negative supernatural. One thing you need to understand about the devil is that he tries to pervert everything that God does. On the positive side however there is only one name and that name is Jesus. He is ‘the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No body can access the Father except by Jesus’. Any other way to the supernatural apart from Jesus is not of God.
