Spiritual Principles II

‘That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father’ Phil.2:10-11.

Hierarchy exists especially in the spiritual. ‘And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greaterHeb.7:7 [NIV]. A colleague and I had a meeting with one of the kings in Nigeria. At the end of the meeting I interrupted the king to ask why he ignored my colleague throughout and focused on me alone. His response was ‘what do you take me for? You mean I will see authority and not know it? You are disappointing me. You pastors are higher than us kings’. He says they were taught about spiritual hierarchy from a young age. As a believer, you also need to know your position as a child of God and what that translates to spiritually as it relates to hierarchy. Occultic people know when they see a real child of God. The story is told of two Christians who were sent out for evangelism. One was on fire for God and the other had traded his source by fornicating. One of the people they went to evangelize to was a witch so she planned to attack the guy that had traded his source. However for as long as they came as a pair the light from the one who was on fire for God covered the other one. So the lady deceptively said she was ready to give her life to God but the fornicating Christian should come alone to lead her to Christ. You can imagine what happened to him. You cannot be fornicating, lying, or being in adultery and engage the enemy in battle. Jesus is the highest authority; being in Christ is being on top.

The third spiritual principle that we must know in order to successfully operate in the supernatural is the principle of delegated authority. And it simply states that delegated authority is not diminished authority. ‘Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending youJohn 20:21. The spiritual authority delegated to you as a believer, by God, is not diminished authority. You have the full arsenal of God. Yet you need to understand jurisdiction. Understand that there are certain battles you do not even get involved in not because God cannot solve it but because it is not your business. Delegated authority is not diminished authority.

Prayer: Father, help me gain full understanding about my authority and position as Your child. Help me better appreciate the power in the Name of Jesus, in Jesus Name.
