Who Are They?

‘For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways’ Ps.91:11

Who are angels in terms of reality? Angels are worshippers. ‘And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said, Let all of God’s angels worship him’ Heb.1:6. Jesus is the only person that has lived on earth that angels of God were instructed to worship. So Jesus must be God and He must be supreme. [Read Rev.5:11-12]. Secondly angels are warriors. ‘That night, the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers…’ 2Kings 19:35. One angel killed 185,000 men. How many enemies do you have? Just one angel can sort them out and in just one night. Now if you have a vigil for seven days and engage angels for seven nights how many of your enemies will they kill? They can wipe out a whole nation. The key thing is angels are warriors. Read Rev.12:7-8. Thirdly, angels are messengers [Judges 6:12]. Angels bring messages from God. ‘Don’t be afraid, Mary, the angel told her, for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him JesusLuke 1:30-31. Daniel had been fasting and praying to God [Dan.10] and an angel brought a response from God.

Theologians tell us that there are three major departments in heaven. One is the communications department [messengers], which Gabriel is in charge of.. These angels go with your request to God and come down with answers, blessings, and messages for people. There is also a department called the warriors. They are those that go and engage the enemy. Michael is the archangel in charge of the warriors as confirmed in scripture. And then the choir department, these are the worshippers. Lucifer was in charge of the choir in heaven but he rebelled against God and God dealt with him. God chose to fill that space with the praises of His own children. God decided to replace lucifer with you and I. So when you are praising and worshipping God the devil is not happy. Which is why in a lot of churches, the choir is under intense attack from the enemy. But he will consistently fail.

Prayer: Father, as I go about my responsibilities today, give Your angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways, in Jesus Name.
