Learn and Grow!
‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness’ 2 Tim.3:16 [KJV].
We all have certain questions that we wrestle with time and time again. Some of them may sound ridiculous to some of us that are perhaps more matured spiritually. But the truth is some people are still dealing with those issues in their lives and the issues must be addressed. Regardless of your spiritual state, it is profitable to deal with such issues so as to learn and grow plus help others grow. Asking questions is supposed to be a way of life really and we often see this play out with children. ‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you’ Matt.7:7 [NIV]. God has built us to query. But somewhere along the line some of us either lose it altogether or it gets corrupted. We begin to ask the wrong questions for the wrong reasons. We also ask God the wrong questions for the wrong reasons. Yet for us to grow spiritually we must have answers to the right questions. It is not enough to ask the right questions alone. If you ask the right questions and you don’t have the right answers to those questions, they still remain questions. The key to growth is to get the right answers to the right questions.
Over the next few days, we will attempt to answer those nagging questions with the Word of God and by the Spirit of God. And we trust that as you partake daily, God will grow you in peace in every area of your life. Just a word of caution here, the truth is that we cannot really fully understand God logically. Nobody can really fully understand God logically. This means that there will always be situations in your life or in this world or certain scenarios around you that you cannot explain. The day you can explain everything, check, you are in heaven already and no longer on earth. Logic cannot fully explain God because without faith it is impossible to please God [Heb.11:6]. Faith is illogical most times. It doesn’t make sense for a virgin to conceive but that’s how Jesus was born. Coming to God requires believing that He is.
Prayer: Father, I ask that as we delve into Your Word seeking answers that You will grow me by the Spirit and by the Word, in Jesus Name.
