Profitable Word I
‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work’ 2 Tim.3:16-17 [NIV]
‘For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven’ Ps.119:89 [KJV]. The Word of God is the highest authority. I find it ludicrous when people decide to discard the Word of God and attempt to answer questions based on logic alone. I really cannot discuss with such people because in my life I have decided that God’s Word is the highest authority. You have to make God’s Word the highest authority in your life otherwise you will have no premise for your decisions. If you want to be thoroughly equipped for every good work then you must learn to rely solely on Scripture to teach, correct, rebuke, and train you. The key to finding answers is to start from what God is saying. The very first question on the mind of a lot of people is will every Christian become rich? This depends greatly on what the word rich means to you. Wealth as perceived by Mr. A is different from wealth for Mr. B. Wealth from heaven is based on the vision supplied. Wherever provision is greater than vision you will waste and indulgence. And the next thing that occurs is sin. If it’s a man, he probably will start chasing young girls and if it’s a woman she probably will begin to abuse her husband. Why, because wealth is greater than vision. The wealth that God should give us and wants to give us is going to be commensurate with the vision that God has given us. For some, God has given them a great vision and supplied the wealth but they have forgotten about the vision and now think the wealth is just for them. Who says that’s what the wealth is for? Yet if your assignment is small then the provision will be small. This doesn’t mean you are poor. Erroneously people are prone to think that once the provision is little then it means they are poor. ‘Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth’ 3 John 1:2 [KJV]. It is God’s desire for every Christian to prosper and be in wealth but it also has to align with God’s vision for their lives and what He has called them to do here on earth. God won’t give you wealth that will blow you to hell.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I ask for the grace and the wisdom to use the resources allocated to me from heaven for the Kingdom alone, in Jesus Name.
