Why?

Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why.
No one seems to understand  that God is protecting them from the evil to comeIsa.57:1.

A lot of us are consistently weighed down by the thought ‘why do bad things happen to good people?’ Particularly when a lot of intercession has gone into averting the bad thing, for instance the death of a loved one. For starters I would say you need to read Psalm 73, it will help you understand why bad things happen to good people sometimes. Secondly, there are some things we will never get answers to on this side of eternity. Some situations we will never totally understand so it would help if we do not claim to have understanding about everything, except of course God reveals. Thirdly, it could be like in the case of Job; which was totally about God’s sovereignty and nothing else. God boasted about Job and that attracted affliction from satan which God permitted solely for His own reasons. Whenever I feel God say to me ‘I am so proud of you’, I get scared and I say, ‘God please, the last guy you were proud of we all know what happened to him’. I say that jokingly. ‘Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand  that God is protecting them from the evil to comeIsa.57:1. There are some people that have made certain covenants with God. For instance, a minister can make a covenant with God never to bring His Name to disrepute. He may go further to say that if this were to happen tomorrow then Lord take my life today because only God knows things ahead of time. So if that person dies you cannot say it was a witch that killed him. You cannot question God because you do not know what is on ground. Some cases are purely the Isaiah 57:1 scenario.  If you pray and such people stay alive, can you guarantee God their salvation because only God can keep you and I saved. While some people will see that as a defeat, Heaven sees it as a victory. Can you now say how come God did not answer all the prayers? You can’t say that because many times you don’t know the whole story.  The Bible says, ‘God is protecting them from the evil to come’.

Prayer: Father, I glorify You because in truth You are All-Knowing! I know that  I may not understand the things that I see but I receive Your comfort, in Jesus Name.
