‘Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord’ Heb.12:14 [KJV]. What does it really mean to see God? It is three fold – in eternity, in communion with God, and in perspectives.

#1: In eternity: Jesus is saying that it is the pure in heart that will access heaven in eternity. ‘Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit of the tree of life. Outside the city are the dogs – the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the  murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie’ Rev.22:14-15. Purity is a serious issue. We have defined that sexual immorality is not until you sleep with someone. Many of us wives are just worrying ourselves for nothing with our husbands. He is not committing adultery physically but he has slept with your sister in his mind. Why don’t you focus on where it matters most, on your knees praying for him. Focus on working with him and together both of you getting to know God together because you cannot get anyone to know God by your strength. Why don’t you allow God work in him only what God can do? Why are you worrying yourself on what you don’t have influence over. People are abusing and fighting against the homosexuals but in their own minds they are filthy. Being a murderer is not until you shoot fifty people in the cinema but in your heart you have shot everyone in your family already. Those that love to live a lie. You know things are not well but you lie to people. You put up a show that things are well. You are living a lie. Naomi came back from Moab and they began to sing to her but she said, ‘just call me marah, right now things are not well’. It is easier for God to pick someone like that and turn her story around than the person that goes about trying to impress everybody that they are who they are not. In eternity we will see God. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. We will see God in Jesus Name. Purity in heart is a factor.
