God Found You!
‘The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?’ John 4:28-29
One of the best ways of saying thank you to Jesus is to follow Jesus step by step and to grow. Growing people change. And when you follow Jesus your life changes and it oozes out an aroma to God. Your life becomes a living sacrifice to God. The second way in my opinion of saying thank you to Jesus is to bring others to Jesus. In fact it is difficult to be really saved and to be quiet about it because found people find people. It is very difficult to keep quiet because if you are saved, you will have people that you love and you will be concerned about their eternal destiny. ‘One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!’ Matt.4:18-19. Who saw who first? Yet the tendency is for us to say that we found God but the actual truth is that God first saw us and first loved us. The time you thought you found God, it was God that had seen you even before you were born in your mother’s womb and had ordained you and had destined you. ‘How do you know about me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you’ John 1:48. And Jesus said to them come follow me – found people and I will show you how to fish for men – how to find people. Jesus is saying found people find people. So God is expecting that you and I as found people would go and find people for the Kingdom. When I gave my life to Jesus, without even thinking, one of the first things I did was to look for my friends and tell them about Jesus. They didn’t accept Christ at the time but Jesus did not say we should convert people. Did Jesus say that? God said we should be witnesses but it’s His job to convert. Found people find people. It is difficult to even hide being saved when we come in contact with Jesus. ‘The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone’ John.4:28. God found you, who have you found for God?
Prayer: Father, empower me ‘that I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works’ in my life, in Jesus Name. [Ps.26:7 KJV]
