Acceptable Time

‘Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near’ Isa.55:6 [KJV]

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who know that God’s offer of salvation is at their doorstep right now but they have chosen to taste the world first. I have news for you; you will soon discover that you are not smarter than the devil. There are some of us who think we want to do our own thing first and then when we’re ready we will go to God. That’s the voice of the devil and he will make sure you never get ready. And when you get ready, guess what he will do, he will try to kill you. But I am praying that he will fail. You need to know that there is a time that is called the acceptable time. The Bible says, seek God when He may be found because there is a time that you will want to but because it’s not by power and nobody comes to God except He draws near, you may not be able to. You don’t decide when to come to God, God decides when to draw you close. When He is drawing you, your job is to follow Him. I pray you will not go the route of following your own time and abandon Him when He is drawing you.

Before I gave my life to Christ, there was this guy who consistently visited my room to evangelize. And he took special interest in me, then I did not know why but now I do. I was rude to him and I did all sorts of things but the guy kept coming back. Yet he was not there when I got saved but he was very instrumental to planting the seeds in my life. God has placed a demand on each of us to go out there and plant seeds of eternity in other hearts even as He has done with us. ‘As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him’ Matt.9:9. Matthew at the time may not have known how best to tell his friends about Jesus but he immediately organized a dinner in his home. He arranged for his friends to meet with Jesus and perhaps they will see what He saw and follow Jesus. You may not be able to get them to fall in love with Jesus but you can arrange the first date.

Prayer: Jesus, help arrange dates with You and people who are close to me but far from You, in Jesus Name.
