Discern The Prey

 ‘Love wisdom like a sister;
make insight a beloved member of your family. Let them protect you from an affair with an immoral woman, from listening to the flattery of a promiscuous woman’ Prov.7:4-5.

When it comes to one person leading another person to sexual sin, women are mostly deceived and men are mostly seduced. It is possible to seduce a woman and to deceive a man but women are mostly deceived and men are mostly seduced. ‘And it was not Adam who was deceived by satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result’ 1Tim.2:14. It was Eve and not Adam who was deceived. Why didn’t the serpent speak to Adam and try to convince him to eat the apple? The serpent knew that Adam would not concede. The man is a logical machine, which makes it usually more difficult to deceive a man. It is easier to deceive a woman. That is why it appears that a lot of men that know this tell women a lot of lies. And some women say all men are lairs. But that is not true, the men have just discovered that some women like to hear lies or that they are vulnerable to deception. You have just met him yet he is promising to marry you. Don’t be a fool, he does not want to marry you, he just wants to have his way with you. And you find women who would justify giving him his way because they are going to get married. I cannot count the number of cases I have had to counsel of women whose hearts have been broken because someone said he would marry them. And after all the deception, he leaves them and looks for another lady to play his tricks on. Don’t let any man deceive you. Flattery – he is constantly telling you that you are not who you are. You know that you are short yet the man is telling you that you are so tall. And then you are blown away by that lie. I have seen ladies fall for this repeatedly. Guys flatter you and tell you what you are not. You know that you are just good looking but you are not the prettiest of girls but he says to you that you are the most beautiful girl in the world. And guess what, women believe it because they crave for affirmation. I have had the privilege of pastoring some very powerful and wealthy women and every woman no matter how wealthy still wants a man that will tell her she is beautiful. That is how women are created. So the negative man knows that and preys on that. Don’t be deceived.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to be discerning, to spot deception in whatever form it is presented, in Jesus Name.
