Perspective, Attitude, & Wisdom

One day the widow of the member of the groups of prophets came to Elisha and cried out, “My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves’ 2kings 4:1.

Please read 2kings 4:1-7. This story is a classic in how to demolish poverty from a life. So I am praying today that by the time we are finished with this season, poverty will be totally demolished from our lives in the Name of Jesus. Is God blessing you and you have no clue on how that is happening? You have no clue on how God is doing the things that He is doing. There is a name for where you are and it is called the wilderness. It is only in the wilderness that God will be blessing’ you, the manna just keeps falling, and you will have no clue. When a lot of us think about financial prosperity, we think of some breakthrough that will just happen. We don’t even know how God is going to do it. When we pray and attend those power packed services, it is as if God stirs the waters and whoever gets into the water is healed so to speak. We get this windfall and we don’t know where it has come from or how to sustain it. Then the windfall goes and we are back to square one, and we begin to pray and to fast again. I am praying today that God will deliver your oil to you. Oil that will keep producing and that you can live on for the rest of your life.

So the issue with being broke is not an issue of lack of money. In other words, when you are broke, money is not the issue. Money has never been the problem. We never do things in God’s Favourite House based on the availability or non-availability of money. We do things because God has commanded it. And if God has ordered it, God will pay for it. If it is not a money issue, then what is the issue? The issue is usually three things: perspective, attitude, and wisdom. The problem we have is a perspective problem, an attitude problem, or a wisdom problem or a combination of the three. So I am praying that God will give you and give us the right perspectives, realign our attitude, and impact the wisdom that we require. In 2Kings 4:1-7, there are a couple of principles that will ensure that poverty remains a stranger in our lives and our lineage in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Pay attention very carefully; take notes if you have to over the next few days as we treat the principles.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for all that You are set to do in my life & lineage over the next few days and beyond. May I not forget to apply these principles, in Jesus Name.
