For Your Good

‘And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them’ Rom.8:28

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way’ Matt.13:25. The second source of the storms is the enemy. Sometimes it is not about you or what you have done, the storm you are going through is as a result of what the enemy has done. The man in today’s Scripture reference sowed good seed in his land but the enemy came and sowed tares. For some people the storms they are facing are spiritual storms. Some people are under intense attack. The good news for you today is Jesus will deal with every storm that is raging against you. If you were to check yourself, there is nothing that you have done wrong but you are still experiencing a storm. It is because the enemy plans to wipe you out but he will fail in the Name of Jesus. His mission is to kill, steal and destroy. But Jesus says I have come that you will have life and have it more abundantly.

The third source of storms is this broken and imperfect world we live in. But regardless of the source of the storms you are faced with, the Word of God is ‘…know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them’ Rom.8:28. In spite of the source of the storm you are faced with, it’s going to work in your favor. In spite of the source! So don’t get carried away with the source of the storm. In spite of the source, God is going to make everything work out for your good. Even if you think you have made the wrong choice in marriage, it will work out for your good.

The fourth source of storms arises out of divine appointment. In other words, you have an appointment with the storm [Jn.9:2-3]. There are some storms that we go through simply because God wants to show forth His glory. I know some people reading this today are struggling with this because all they know is God is good all the time. How can God allow storms come my way? In spite of the storms, God is still good all the time. When God gives you a vision, He shows you the end picture. He doesn’t show you the storms because if He does, you will run away. God is assuring you today that He is the one who initiated the step you took and the storm you are now experiencing is scheduled to build your faith.

Prayer [hymn]: I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord. No tender voice like Thine can peace afford. I need Thee, O I need Thee; Every hour I need Thee; O bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee. Amen.
