“So you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power” Col.2:10 [TLB, emphasis added].

Jesus is enough for our companionship. God speaks many times but we are actually too busy to hear and listen to Him. He speaks through His Word and He speaks to us directly. God wants to have conversations with us. You don’t need to stay up late just to make free midnight calls talking to strange people at very strange hours because you want companionship. Instead, seek to be with a group of people of like-minds. The Bible says, iron sharpeneth iron. Pick up your Bible, sit down, talk to God and He will speak with you.The trials you’ve gone through are so that you can share your testimony for someone else to be encouraged. And someone else is there to encourage you. But if you are not willing to make friends with people, how will you be encouraged? Call up your friends who are fellow Christians and share your testimony and benefit from theirs. You also leave yourself open to pollution when you’re not in the right company. When you remove a burning coal from a pile, its stays hot; but after a while it goes cold and the fire dies.

Jesus is enough for our life here on earth. He is enough in every aspect of our lives. When you have Jesus, when you allow yourself to be filled with the sufficiency of Christ, your life gives up a sweet aroma to you and to those around you. Jesus is enough for our spiritual insight. God wants to tell you about your own future, God wants to tell you about the future of your family, about the future of friends. Stop looking for someone to tell you what is going to happen in your house. You are the prophet, be your own prophet and allow yourself to prophesy to others. The Bible says, covet earnestly the best gifts. How is Christ enough for us in spiritual gifting? “To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another and to someone else the same Spirit gives the gift of healing” 1 Cor.12:8-9. These gifts are in Jesus. He gives us these gifts to make our walk with God so sweet and effortless. You find that walking with God becomes easy because Christ is in you. So we have the sufficiency of God in our lives, in our health, in our businesses, in our careers, in our marriages, in our homes, and in everything. When we have the sufficiency of Christ, then we can say that we have it all. So in summary I say, Jesus is all; He is all you need. He is all you will ever need. In Him you are complete. So you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ.

Prayer: Father, I declare that I have everything because I have Christ Jesus and I am made complete through my union with Jesus, in Jesus Name.
