Just Do It!

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do” Josh.1:8.

Life is all about progressions. Different aspects of life have different progressions. For instance the musicians will tell you that to score songs, you first identify the chord progression of the song. The farmer will also tell you that crops and animals have their varying progressions. The Word of God shows us clearly that there is a progression to success. In other words, there is a start point and then different moves that lead up to success. We explained, “for My Name sake”, that you will get further with God because of that statement compared to anything else. Favor is rooted in that phrase. There are things that God will do for you for His Name sake, for Himself, it has nothing to do with you. God will promote you because of Himself and that is one of the beauties of bearing the Name of God. For God’s Name sake you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8 shows us clearly that God has not left us in the dark in this matter. This is God’s progression of success; the first phase of the progression study this Book of Instruction continually, the second phase of the progression is meditate day and night, and the third phase of the progression is obey. Just do what you have meditated on. If there is something you must just do, it is the Word of God. And God’s Word states clearly that only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. And that is the key to success right there. So for all those who have been searching all their lives to discover the keys to success or uncover what is holding them back from succeeding, this is it. God says just do these three things and you will prosper and succeed in all, not a few, but in all that you do.

The first phase of this progression is study this Book of Instruction continually. What book? The Bible. In today’s world, technology has made it possible for everyone to have their Bibles on their mobile devices. While some people still prefer to have the Bible strictly in print. The Bible is the Bible regardless of the format it is in. I once encountered someone who stopped attending the church I Pastor because she could not come to terms with my reading and preaching God’s Word from a device. It is what you do with that Word that matters and not now you carry it. Some people have turned the print Bible into a talisman, a tool to ward off nightmares. That is not the purpose of the Bible, in fact that is an abuse of the Bible. The place of the Word should be is in your heart. The Word says, “he that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty Ps.91:1.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for giving me the keys to succeeding and progressing. Help me by Your Spirit to steadfastly apply this knowledge, in Jesus Name.
