“The Fruit” II

“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’” Then the devil went away [NEUTRALIZED], and angels came and took care of Jesus” Matt.4:2 [added text in bold font].

Please read Matthew 4:2-11. Take note of these three things: “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” [Lust of the flesh]; “If you are the Son of God, jump off! [Pride of life]; and showed him all the kingdoms of the world [lust of the eyes]. Whenever you neutralize the devil you have access to the supernatural. You have access to angels. A lot of believers have lost their spiritual authority because of “the fruit”. So satan attacks humanity by offering Eve the world. He also attacked Jesus by offering Jesus the world. How do you think he will attack you? The enemy knows that if you eat the fruit you lose your soul and you lose your spiritual authority but I am praying that you will not lose your soul and your spiritual authority. A lot of Christians, Pastors inclusive, have traded their authentic spiritual authority for “the fruit”. That is why they tell demons to go and they remain. So the question is what fruit is dangling before you right now?

I will share my story with you because it shows you that we are men of like passions. A while ago, a gentleman gave us land as a church and how he said we should tone down our preaching Jesus. And of course by God’s grace we turned it down, he left the church and took his land. But the last time I checked the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. And today by the grace of God we are on our land because we did not eat “the fruit”. God has a bigger plan than what the enemy is offering you, he just wants to shortchange your destiny with a short cut and destroy your soul. However, with that gentleman that was not the only thing at stake. This man used to credit my account, unsolicited, with half a million naira every month and he did not used to fail. Anytime, anywhere, however frequently my family and I travel, he used to send us business class tickets. He also showed me a car, the Mercedes Benz SUV, he was going to buy it for me. And then he said I am not saying you should deny Jesus, I am just saying it is too much. But I remember my grandmother would say, “on Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand”. I don’t know what fruit is dangling before you today but know this Christ is the only solid rock, all other ground is sinking sand. It is my prayer that you will be able to say the prince of this world comes and he has nothing in me, in Jesus Name.

Prayer [Hymn]: My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand. Amen!
