Provocative Blessings II

“Then they took the man who had been blind to the Pharisees, because it was on the Sabbath that Jesus had made the mud and healed him” John 9:13-14

The truth is, if there is nothing in your life that is making other people envious of you, then really, God has not started with you. And I pray that God will start with you today. The truth is, that is just how it is. When God begins to work in your favour, it will stir up envy in others. It was out of envy that Jesus was killed. Joseph was sold into slavery because of envy. If the blessings have not provoked jealousy, it has not yet peaked. I pray that your blessings will not only peak but they will overflow, in Jesus Name. You know what that means right? It means that there will be more trouble. But remain calm because the God that brought the blessings will deal with the trouble.

So quit trying to cut yourself to the size of your neighbor’s imagination. You cannot. Let me give you an example, God has blessed you with a very good shirt. But you do not want to wear it because you are concerned about your neighbor’s feelings, you do not want to stir up envy. Wear the shirt in Jesus Name! A single lady came to me, she wanted us to pray that God will slow down on the way He was blessing her. So I asked her why and her fear was which man will marry her because the blessings were too much. I said to her, do not ever say that again! God will bring a man that has the capacity to carry you and your blessings, in Jesus Name.

Stop cutting yourself to fit someone else’s shortsightedness. Stop it! I believe that if I am anything at all, it is by the grace of God and by the sacrifice and prayers of certain people. And I know they will be happy to see me walk in these blessings. So why should I be apologetic about it. The God that brought the blessings will deal with the trouble [envy].

You also need to understand this. You must understand that if God has blessed someone, rejoice with him or her. Just rejoice with him or her! You have had vigils and prayed passionately about something but God blesses your neighbor with triple of what you have been asking God for. Sometimes you think, ah, did God miss my address? When that happens and you are still able to rejoice. Watch out, something is about to break forth in your life. And it is a mark of spiritual maturity. You need to understand this part of God.

Prayer: Father, I pray that even while I am in the wilderness, please give me the grace to rejoice with those who have entered into their Promised Land, in Jesus Name.
