R.E.P. God

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to breaking of bread and to prayer… All the believers were together and had everything in common” Acts 2:42 & 44 [NIV]

#2: Your personal relationship with Jesus is key. This is the second derivative of Victory. Do not move without the Holy Spirit. Has God sent you on that journey? If not, then do not do it. Do not just do things because you can. I am passionate about seeing people grow spiritually so much that my first book ever, New Creation Reality, is about spiritual growth. I have crystalized spiritual growth into three words and to help you remember these three things is the acronym– R.E.P. For you to grow spiritually, the first thing you have to pay attention to is your Relationships [R for Relationships]. You will grow faster spiritually if you make friends with people for which spiritual growth is priority.

I believe in the Word of God and reading the Bible. But note that the New Testament church did not have the Bible as we know it today, but they still grew spiritually. One of their greatest strengths was relationships; they kept fellowshipping together. Remember, you are the average of the three people you spend the most time with. Spiritually you are the average of the three people you spend the most time with. So on a scale of one to ten, ten being the highest, if you are a nine and you spend most of your time with people that are not going anywhere, say one is a zero, one is a two, and the third person is a one. Zero plus one plus two plus nine equals twelve, divided by four gives you a three. You will be struggling to maintain a three; meanwhile you are a nine.

Eagles do not play with chickens too much. I am not talking about segregation or saying you are better than anybody. What I am saying is, who are the people that are spurring you on in the things of God? Do you have any? Relationships are so important and that is why in God’s Favourite House, we place very strong emphasis on Life Groups. E is for Experiences. Your experiences in God, with God, experiences from others testimonies, and your personal testimonies, affect your growth spiritually. And P is for Practices. What are your daily practices and habitual behaviors? Some key practices include reading your Bible, praying, fasting. It will change your life spiritually. So to grow spiritually you need to R.E.P. God.

Prayer [song]: Show me Your way, that I may walk with You. Show me Your way, I put my trust in You. The cry of my heart is to love You Lord, to live with the touch of Your hand. Stronger each day, show me Your way. Amen!
