Seed Maneuvers

…these Levites—the ones who collect the tithe—paid a tithe to Melchizedek when their ancestor Abraham paid a tithe to him. For although Levi wasn’t born yet, the seed from which he came was in Abraham’s body when Melchizedek collected the tithe from him” Heb.7:9-10

There are seeds you will sow that will shape not only your life but also the lives of your children. There are some covenant maneuvers in the spirit that speaks for generations to come. It seems as though certain people are just prospering at everything they do. What you do not know is that their parents have “hit the ground” on their behalf. A lot of people are upset with me and some even accuse me of not knowing how to pray. My response is, I may not know how to pray but my grandmother prayed for me, and my mother is praying for me. Perhaps because I was a little troublesome when I was younger so I was always listed as a prayer point.

When we first started Pastoring, we operated from a rented facility. The daughter of the owner was managing the facility and she gave us a very tough time. In fact, every meeting with her was a testing of our faith. Back then I was very volatile but I am chilled now. So I took the matter before God. My number one objective was to possess the property. I began to engage in the spirit and I locked down the property. Then God responded- I will not give you this property. I said no – wherever the soles of our feet shall tread upon, we shall possess… When He saw that I was not taking no for an answer, He promised to give us another property, a bigger place. So I backed down and took the deal [who wouldn’t]. And God gave us the bigger property.

Then one day, the mother – the owner of the property visited us; a very nice, elderly, godly woman. And on her way out, she stopped and began to apologize for all the trouble her daughter had caused us. She said she covenanted the property to God, that it will only be used for God’s purposes. It was then I understood why I could not take the property even though the daughter was misbehaving. God is a covenant keeping God. He keeps covenants from generation to generation. There are things you are doing now that you think have no impact. It is your children that will reap it. Today, I am blessing my grandmother and my mother. I am grateful for them.

Prayer: Lord, lead me consistently to sow seeds that will impact my children and generations yet unborn, in Jesus Name.
