Lam.3:³⁷ Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? [KJV]

The sixth cause of curses is self-pronounced curses. The power of life and death lies in the tongue [Prov.18:21]. Sometimes we hinder ourselves with our own words. The unstable economy is affecting everyone but in addition to that you say, “I am finished!” You are not finished, in Jesus Name. Your child is stubborn; prayerfully deal with the stubbornness and stop making statements like, “This child is going to kill me”. The child is not going to kill you, in Jesus Name. Stop speaking curses over yourself. God has said you will thrive – believe it! Sometimes, husbands curse their wives in a moment of anger and foolishness and down the line it affects them. Some curses are self-inflicted so watch your words.

The seventh cause of curses is programmed conditional curses.  Programmed conditional curse usually sound like this, if ‘A’ equals ‘B’ then ‘C’ will happen. So that things can go smoothly for generations without the curse being activated. But as soon as the conditions of the statement are fulfilled, it triggers a whole lot of things. In certain linages, some curses have been programmed so generations pass and nothing happens. Then one day someone does something and it is triggered. Then people are alarmed because the roots are untraceable in the family. It is because they did not activate the curse; but it was there all along.

A classic example of a programmed conditional curse is in Josh.6:²⁶ “At that time Joshua invoked this curse: “May the curse of the Lord fall on anyone who tries to rebuild the town of Jericho. At the cost of his firstborn son, he will lay its foundation. At the cost of his youngest son, he will set up its gates.” Years passed and nothing happened because the conditions had not been fulfilled. But in 1Kings16:³⁴ “…Hiel, a man from Bethel, rebuilt Jericho. When he laid its foundations, it cost him the life of his oldest son, Abiram. And when he completed it and set up its gates, it cost him the life of his youngest son, Segub. This all happened according to the message from the Lord concerning Jericho, spoken by Joshua son of Nun.” What sin did those children commit? Sadly, that is how life is programmed. You have to breakout of these patterns yourself.

Prayer: Jesus, You became a curse for me therefore no curse will work on me and on my generations unborn. I cut off every conditional curse now, in Jesus Name. Amen!
