Ctr+Alt+Faith

John 15:¹² “This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. ¹³ There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

John 3:¹⁶ “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” Sadly, a lot of us really do not understand what this means. There was a huge chasm between God and us. But love made God come down and rescue us. He was insulted, slapped, spat on, abused, ridiculed, and nailed to the cross. But He was not angry or afraid because He was moved by love.

You will overcome whatever challenge you are facing in your career, your relationships, or in your health because of love. You will triumph because of love. In fact, the root of many fears is self-centeredness. But love overcomes that easily. The more you and I are filled with love, the less fearful we will be.

The third spiritual antidote to fear is Faith. Eph. 6:¹⁶ “Above all be sure to take faith as your shield, for it can quench every burning missile the enemy hurls at you”  [Ph, with emphasis].

The enemy loves to hurl missiles at us and he accomplishes this in our thoughts and in our minds. The enemy loves to suggest. The only power the enemy has over the believer [if he has any power over the believer] is the power of suggestion. The enemy can suggest but it is up to you to be afraid. If the enemy says you are going to die, it is up to you to believe it or not. Whatever negative report the enemy brings up about your children, your marriage, your finances, and your job, it is up to you to believe it or accept it. The only power he has is to suggest. But God says we should put up our shield of faith – put up and keep up!

When God gives us an idea, it is called an inspiration. When satan gives us an idea it is called temptation. When the enemy plants ideas in your mind, do not do what he suggests. Faith is doing the things you fear the most. Faith is moving ahead in spite of your fear. It is hard to believe but some men are afraid to totally love their wives. And the reason is because they are afraid of being taken for granted. But the answer again is to love because the only thing God said you should do to your wives is “love her”.
