Ps.119:¹⁶⁴ “Seven times each day I stop and shout praises for the way you keep everything running right” [MSG]

Yesterday we learnt that Mary often played back her experiences with God. And I shared with you one of the practical exercises that I used to do back in the day to help me focus on God’s Presence. I literally punctuated my day with thoughts of God and talking to the Holy Spirit and it changed my life totally. Refocusing on God every thirty-minutes may not be feasible for you so you can do it hourly.

There is no way you can focus so much on God, enjoy the tangible Presence of God and have high blood pressure. What I have discovered is that just by being in His Presence so often, I am able to easily discern His will. When you cultivate the habit of being in God’s Presence, your communion with God is unbroken and powerful. Fear cannot take root in your heart. Prov. 14:²⁶ “Reverence for God gives a man deep strength; his children have a place of refuge and security” [LB]. So your assignment today is to set your alarm and practice being in God’s Presence.

Devote yourself to God’s plan. The truth is that God has a custom made plan for you and His plans for everyone are different. But you and I must choose to cooperate with God for His plan to come to pass in our lives. A lot of people have actually missed God’s plan for their lives by not choosing it. I pray that will not be your story, in Jesus Name. Sometimes God has a clear plan and people choose differently and, because they choose differently they sabotage God’s plan.

God spoke audibly to a friend of mine about the person she was to marry. In fact when she was telling me the story, she was shaking. God’s audible voice is terrible and awesome. It can render you motionless for hours. God also spoke to the man she was to marry and to their pastor. God confirmed His plans for them through many people and they started courting. The man traveled to Europe for his Master’s degree and returned home with a European wife and two children – huge disaster. Did God not speak to them clearly? Yes, but they chose differently. You can just imagine how that kind of thing will play out. Cooperate with God!

Prayer: Lord, I declare that by the Power of the Holy Spirit I will cooperate with God’s plans for my life even as I cultivate God’s Presence daily, in Jesus Name. Amen!
