God of Love

John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believe in him will not perish but have eternal life”.

Scientists say the moon is three hundred and eighty four thousand kilometers away. Your DNA will stretch to the moon and back one thousand five hundred times. Every time you look at the moon, remember that you are so loaded.

If God were to unpack you and stretch you, you will get to the moon and back one thousand five hundred times.

Jer.1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb…” There was a you that existed in God before the you that was formed in your mother’s womb. God knew the you that existed in Him before He formed you in your mother’s womb and configured your DNA. God wrote your software and programmed you. “…Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” God has a plan for your life. God did not wake up to the realization of your existence today and is now wondering what to do with you. There is a plan for your life. I pray in Jesus Name that you will fulfill your destiny.

God is so great and there are many sides to Him. God is a man of war; He kills and makes alive but at the core of God is not war. At the core of God, at the heart of this awesome God is love and we have to understand this. 1 John 4:8 “But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love” [with emphasis]. Infact it was love that flowed out when Jesus bled on the cross. It was love that took Jesus to the cross. God’s love is what we need to encounter and what we need to live by.

I usually go for prayer walks and while I am walking, all of a sudden God’s Presence intensifies around me. The first few times this happened, I was a little bit restless because I am aware that this same God created the heavens and the earth. He can snuff me out in an instant and nobody can query Him. But this same God is my Father and He loves me. I feel such warmth and love in my interaction and experience of God that sometimes I just stay on the streets with Him for hours. I just do not want to leave.

Prayer [song]: God of love. Full of love. Love is who You are, love is what You give – God of love. Fill my heart with all of You. Make each moment of my days, tell of who You are that the world may know the God of love. Amen!
