His Pleasure

Psa. 99:5 “Exalt the Lord our God! Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!”

Your focus in the place of worship is very important because it informs what you will do. Your focus will also inform what you allow and what you will disallow. For instance, if your focus is on people and what they will say, if they will laugh at you or call you a fanatic, you will struggle with kneeling down in God’s Presence. If you are addicted to the opinions of men, you will struggle. My question to you is, are the opinions of men now more important than the pleasure of God? Is what men think now more important than what God says or what God thinks? Is it your fear of men that is stopping you from honoring God?

Some people use other people as their benchmark for the time to kneel or not to kneel before God. Let me explain, because their focus is on a man, it could even be their pastor. So they say if he does not kneel then it is not time to kneel. You need to stop that and stop it now. You do not know where he is on his conversation with God in the place of worship. Focus on where you are, focus on the God you serve and bow to Him alone. Are you struggling with kneeling because you do not want to look like a hypocrite?

The God’s Word says, “What that Scripture really means is you are as close to God as you want to be. Stop focusing on the people you think are having an amazing relationship with God. You can have a better fellowship and communion with God. You are as close to God as you want to be. How far do you want to go?

What many people do not realize is that the challenges they face, the turbulence in their lives is actually to bring them to our knees before Christ. An anonymous quote reads, “When life gives you more than you can stand—kneel.” When you kneel, you will discover that you are free and you are soaring. It is a beautiful thing to come before God in worship and kneel in pursuit of Him. Go ahead, try it and experience the beauty of holiness.

Prayer [song]: Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning my songs shall rise to thee. Holy (3x)! Merciful and Mighty, God in three persons blessed trinity. Amen!
