Enough Gain?

1 Tim. 6:6-8 “Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that”[with emphasis].

Key Question 2: How much is enough? Really, how much would you need to make for you to consider it enough money? How many cars are enough? How many cars can a man drive? How many houses can a man leave in? How many rooms can a man sleep in? Building a house with ten rooms is neither here nor there. It is your choice really. If it makes you happy, then build it. But how many rooms can you sleep in? If in one night you insist on sleeping in all ten rooms, what do you think will be the result?

Even if you have five children, the truth is that all of them will leave the house eventually. At least I believe that you are praying for them to be greater and more successful than you are. And, may the God of heaven grant your request, in Jesus Name. It will be you and your spouse left in the house and at best domestic staff. You will try to trick your children to come and spend time in the house. And more often than not, they will see through it. Contentment is so powerful. Enjoy, be content with what you have because your net worth does not determine your self-worth. A lot of the time we attempt to draw our self-worth from our net-worth. It is a waste of time, no matter what your net-worth amounts to, it does not and cannot determine your self-worth. You have to connect to God.

I started by asking you how much is enough, right? So, the person earning eighty thousand a month can choose to believe God for eight hundred thousand every month. And God will do it. But guess what? For most people that do not live by these principles, particularly the principle of contentment, in a short time, that increase will no longer be enough. And the reason is because your needs and wants expand to fit the depth of your pocket. Then the same person is back to believing God for another breakthrough and this time, the objective is five million monthly. When you have your basic needs met, when is it really enough? It is only enough when you connect to the God that is more than enough.

Prayer[song]: You are my Shepherd. You are my God. You are the Lord of my life. You are my King. You are my increase. You are my song. Oh Jesus… You are more than enough.
I worship You today. Amen!
