Matt.5:¹⁶“Let your light shinebefore men, that they may see your good deedsand praise your Father in heaven.” [with emphasis]

Excellence glorifies God and inspires people. When we deliver excellence at work, we bring glory to God, our Maker and King. But it does not end there. People look at us and get inspired because of the level of excellence displayed through our work. Then they become inspired to be professional like you and inspired to serve your God. People will say about you – ‘If this person can be the captain of his or her industry, then I need to do what he or she is doing.’

Excellence glorifies God and inspires people. For the next couple of days, we are set to birth in us the capacity to work with excellence and be strong witnesses for Him.

As Christians, we ought to be the best at whatever we do. I believe God wants us to set the standards for work. You should be the reference point for excellence at your organization. God expects this from us. Matt. 5:¹⁶ “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”The truth is that the quality of our work is a reflection of our faith. In fact, the greatest testimony of your faith is the quality of your work. In God’s Favourite House, we will do anything and everything apart from sinning to connect people to Christ. One of the best ways of achieving this is through excellence at work.

Dan.6:³“Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators by his exceptional qualitiesthat the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom”[with emphasis]. Fascinating! Daniel was a prisoner of war but in no time, he distinguished himself by his exceptional qualities. Another translation of the same scriptures puts it this way, “…because he had an excellent spirit.”

Are you familiar with the statement, you cannot keep a good man down? So, where you start is not really important. If you have an excellent spirit you will become all that God has sent you to be. I pray that the excellent Spirit of God will rest upon you, in Jesus Name. I pray that it will be said of you that because of your exceptional qualities, you are preferred and set above the whole kingdom.

Prayer: Father, because of Your Spirit within and upon me, I will strive for excellence in all that I do, in Jesus Name. Amen!
