Spot-on
2 Tim.3:16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
The instructions of the Book of Daniel are so important and key to us and to our walk with God. Particularly when you look at the values that are being upheld, seeing how people are lacking in character. One begins to wonder, what is happening to the church and are people really preaching the gospel these days. Are people really following God? Yet I am certain, obviously from God’s pattern in scripture, that God always has a remnant, people that have not bowed to Baal. I pray we find such people in and amongst us in Jesus Name. It is interesting that in our times, there are people who actually think it is impossible to live for God. Some actually give up because they feel living for God is impossible. Daniel, however, was in the old covenant. Daniel was not born again [if you will], he did not have the in-filling [the power] of the Holy Spirit at his disposal.
Daniel did not have the benefit of scripture that you and I have in our times. Daniel did not have the complete Bible, yet Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were able to stand as light and able to live for God. So, if we take the teachings from the life of Daniel and inculcate it with all that God has given us, I am certain that we will overcome. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego maintained their devotion to God, even when they were not sure if God was going to rescue them from trouble, their confidence in God remained unshaken. So much so that heathen kings instructed that everyone should worship the God of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. But God came through for them and He will come through for us in Jesus Name.
The next aspect of Daniel’s life that we will be focusing on over the next few days, is his involvement in the supernatural. Again, this is really instructive and powerful because Daniel did not have the Holy Spirit, but he could operate in the supernatural. Daniel knew that the supernatural existed and he was open to it. Daniel had exchanges with spirits; God is a spirit and His angels are spirits, he even knew the names of angels. Daniel did not think it strange to get revelations and have conversations with spirits. Daniel was relevant both in the physical and in the supernatural. I pray that you and I will be relevant in the supernatural in Jesus Mighty Name.
Thought: Unwavering devotion to God births relevance both in the physical and the supernatural.
Prayer [hymn]: Stand up, stand up for Jesus. Stand in His strength alone. The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own. Put on the gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer. Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there. Amen!
