Step By Step, I

Galatians 5:25 “Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives; let’s keep each step in perfect sync with God’s Spirit; we must also allow the Spirit to direct every aspect of our lives.” (NLT, VOICE, TPT)

If I let the Holy Spirit guide me, He will help me know what I need to know, He will help me go where I need to go, He will help me say what I need to say, the Holy Spirit will help me wait for god’s perfect timing, He helps me resist the things I can’t normally resist. Read the rest of this entry

Faith & Wisdom

Prov.21:31 “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord. (ESV, emphasis added)

There is nothing wrong with planning, with systems, with faith, and with prayer. Anyone who says you have prayed enough does not understand prayer. Anyone that says you have worked enough, does not understand the nature of work. Read the rest of this entry

In Life

Psalm 107:2 “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy” (KJV, emphasis added)

A believer’s attitude must flow from who he or she is in God. Who are you in God? The phrase ‘say so’ highlighted in today’s anchor scripture means to verbally declare. In other words, you are the redeemed of the Lord, show it! You are a child of the Most High God, show it Read the rest of this entry

Praise Point

Acts 16:35-36 “The next morning the city officials sent the police to tell the jailer, “Let those men go!” So, the jailer told Paul, “The city officials have said you and Silas are free to leave. Go in peace.”

After reading today’s anchor scripture, I wrestled with it. God is All-knowing, He created the heavens and the earth, He knew that they were going to release Paul and Silas the following day. Read the rest of this entry

The Plot

John 11:25-26 “Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

We are more than halfway through our study of the Book of John. God’s Words by itself is life and it is so beautiful to see how Jesus responds to things. God’s Word is so refreshing, and I am confident that even as our minds are being renewed, our lives are being transformed. Amen! We are in an era where Read the rest of this entry

The Climax & The Christ

John 7:37-38 “On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”

What do you think the high priests were thinking? ‘We should come to You?’ Some people in the crowds were probably thinking, ‘You from Galilee? There is no single prophet from Galilee! And You are saying we should come to You and You will give us living waters?’ Read the rest of this entry

God-Assured

Rom.15:13 “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

During my study of the Bible, on the things that give us confidence in God, I came across over twenty things. However, we will examine four of them. The first thing that gives confidence in God is the fact that God offers to forgive everything I have done. Read the rest of this entry

Clear Confidence

John 3:36…whoever accepts and trusts God’s Son gets in on everything, life complete and forever! (But) the person who avoids and distrusts God’s Son is in the dark and doesn’t see life…” (MSG, paraphrased, emphasis added)

Our walk with God is a walk of faith. When you step out and walk with God in faith, God gives you clarity. When clarity comes, you take your next step. Some answers are waiting for you on step five, but you are on step two. God says, take the next step, move to step three. But you are insisting on getting answers now. Read the rest of this entry

Divine Encounter

1 Sam. 1:17-18 “In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.”

Please read 1sam.1:12-18.  Heb. 11:1Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” What makes it possible to move from God must help me to the point that you know that the help is here already? Read the rest of this entry

He Will

Luke 11:10 “For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

If God does not help you, will you take the position of the persistent widow or will you opt for help from another? Do you have a back-up plan or is God your only option? A single lady said to God, “You know I have been a good girl all these years. Read the rest of this entry
