Luke 16:10 “If you’re faithful in small-scale matters, you’ll be faithful with far bigger responsibilities. If you’re crooked in small responsibilities, you’ll be no different in bigger things” (Voice).
Fruitfulness is a big deal with God. If as a Christian, you do not bear fruit, Jesus says, there is a question mark somewhere. The challenge I have seen with Church folk is people want to be fruitful in their minds, that is, people have a mental ascent. They agree to fruitfulness, they like to be fruitful, but Read the rest of this entry
Why did the Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans? We began to answer this question yesterday and it will interest you to know that the enmity ran even deeper. We mentioned earlier that at the time John the Baptist and Jesus were in ministry there was a huge Rabbinic movement. Read the rest of this entry
1 John 4:6 “But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.”
In today’s devotional, we will be answering some questions. So, pay attention.
Question #1: How do we develop the spirit of discernment? Heb.5:14 “…by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (NKJV]. Discernment can be developed by reason of use; the more you exercise it, the sharper you become, and the better it becomes. Read the rest of this entry

The story is told about a young man who told his Pastor that he had consecrated his life to Jesus. The Pastor looked at him intently and said, “We are going for evangelism tomorrow and we will need your car tomorrow morning.” Read the rest of this entry
Ps.46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world.”
When we choose to obey God and refuse to worry, we are putting our confidence in God. As a child of God, when you put your confidence in Him, it makes Him feel good. It makes Him want to perform. When God says do not worry, He is saying you need to deal with the fear inside first. Read the rest of this entry
Gen. 22:2 “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”
Today, we will pick up from the final thought from yesterday which is, God wants you and I to understand that Immanuel means God is with us. God saw us even before Jesus was conceived and He knew that we would not be Hebrew speaking. Read the rest of this entry
Heb. 11:10 For he was [waiting expectantly and confidently] looking forward to the city which has fixed and firm foundations, whose Architect and Builder is God.” (AMPC)
Acts 1:6 “So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” 7 He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…”. Jesus had demonstrated His power, Read the rest of this entry
Ps.103:7 “He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” [KJV]
It is beautiful to walk with God, understanding His ordinances as it flows from His heart. Right seed + the right soil + the right condition = Abundant harvest. This ordinance is so powerful and so important. It may look simple but believe me if you work this, you will never be stranded. I have worked this ordinance for over twenty years and counting. Isa.49:25 “But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children” [KJV].
People knowingly and unknowingly, enter into covenants with the devil. That is why you need to be aware of it, check if it exists, and engage God to destroy it. I am not saying we should do away with culture or cultural festivals; but some of those festivals are covenants in themselves. There is a thin line between just celebrating culture and entering into the spiritual and the fetish. Some celebrations entail swimming in a river, they are covenanting you with water spirits. I pray that God will Himself, submerge everyone that has Read the rest of this entry
