Ps.18:20-24 (MSG) “God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start… I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.”

Jesus hung on the cross, so you and I can stop hanging ourselves on the cross. Many of us blame ourselves for everything, stop it! When we embrace the finished work on the cross of Calvary, we can look back at our lives, without being flooded with the pain of regret and resentment, but genuinely say, “thank You Lord!” not because we are in denial. But because we are actually grateful for what God has done. If we are to live a life of gratitude, we must experience freedom from the pain of the past and freedom from the pressure of today.

Freedom From The Pressure Of Today: Most people these days live in a very high pressure society. Life is getting more and more complex and we wish that it was not. But we complicate things with our own wants. While our grandparents were satisfied with being refreshed by the evening breeze, we want air conditioners, we want microwaves. You talk to little children, and they know things that they have no business knowing. When you try to find out how, they tell you they googled it. A lot of children just go to google these days instead of asking their parents. Guess what? With a single search, millions of responses turn up. Too much information for a child. There was a case of a child that genuinely misspelt on google and he got pornographic material. How does that child deal with that? The pressure that we are faced with today is real.

When you are under pressure you need Strength and Stability. God’s Word says if you fail in the day of adversity then your strength is little. You need strength, you need a solid base, and you need capacity. Guess what? God is offering you both strength and stability. Isa.40:28-29God never grows faint or weary… He gives power to those who are tired and worn out.” The reason a lot of us are tired and worn out is because we were never to live our lives based on our own power. The reason we are tired and worn out is because we are living our lives based on our own strength alone. When you live your life based on your strength, you will get tired. But when you live your life based on God’s strength, you will not get tired.

A woman came to her husband asking for help with the laptop, she had a lot to do but the computer kept shutting down. The man checked and realized that she had run out of battery and the laptop was not even plugged. So, he handed her the cable and left. In a short while, she was asking for help again. This time, he discovered that she had plugged the computer but did not turn on the switch. The story of that computer is how a lot of us are living our lives. You need power.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I rely on You for mercy, strength and stability, in Jesus Name. Amen!
