Instantly, Silently & Completely!
1 Peter 2:24 (TPT) “He himself carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we would be dead to sin and live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from his wounding.”
We will start our devotion today with our last thought from yesterday, which is, how come some people do not get healed? We will be in denial to say that everybody gets healed, true or false? A lot of us are witnesses to God’s healing power yet we have or have seen cases where some people do not get healed. Most times, the question on our minds is, why? The absence of healing could be because of the lack of faith, or it could be that there is a pre-condition for that healing. For example, someone keeps abusing people that are old enough to be his or her parents and God cautions the person to stop. However, the person casts off restraints and keeps doing it because he or she thinks nothing is going to happen.
God says you should forgive but you refuse to forgive. Do you know that a lot of sicknesses are tied to unforgiveness? For the cases that forgiveness is an underlining condition for healing, no matter how much we fast and pray healing may not occur. Then we get worried and start troubling God with questions about those people’s healing. In such cases, is the absence of healing God’s fault? Not at all. David died in his seventies, a pretty young age for his time. David was a very healthy and active warrior. Jesus died at thirty-three, pretty young age also. Elisha, the man that carried a double portion of Elijah’s anointing, died of a sickness that was not as complicated as the ones he had healed. Elisha actually raised the dead; even after he died, his bones were still raising the dead. This goes to show us how anointed Elisha was, but this same Elisha died of a sickness, like malaria for example. So, it does not take anything away from God. Is this A-Levels?
With healing and why some people do not get healed, we have to also factor in the Sovereignty of God. Yet some people do not get healed for sheer ignorance. Ignorance is a big challenge for a lot of people. What I usually advise is, do not conclude that your case is in the category of ‘the Sovereign will of God not to heal’. Yours is not that case! Your name has not been added to that category of people in the Bible so do not own it. Conclude that Jesus wants to heal you, hold on to it to the very end, and He will heal you. Say Amen.
Thought: Ps.107:20 “God spoke the words “Be healed,” and we were healed, delivered from death’s door!” (TPT)
Prayer: Father, I declare that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed and made whole, in Jesus Name. Amen!
Before we judge and conclude that that situation is in the sovereign will of GOD, we need to determine the why and learn all that GOD wants us to learn in it. To declare the word of GOD we need to stay with the word of GOD.
