Act Now
2 Cor.5:20 “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”
The number one movie genre in the United States, by a huge margin, is horror. Particularly among the millennials and the gen-z (generation z). When people say Christianity is outdated, I laugh. A lot of people are advocating that God be taken out of schools completely. If you take God out of any setting, the devil will fill it. Every human being is a spirit; this new generation knows that there has to be more, and they are actively searching for it. They cannot get it in the classroom, they cannot get it in the mainstream news media or on social media. And because no one is teaching them, they are finding it in evil. The supernatural shows up in horror movies– ghosts, witchcraft, spells and they jump at it. The supernatural is showing up even in children’s cartoons these days. A little boy, stick in hand, shook his fist at me and was wondering why I had not changed into a frog. I said, frog? I am the son of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He has probably seen it on television, he believes it and was practicing it on his Pastor.
A lot of people are searching for more. A lot of people are desperate to fill the void in their lives. The internet is filled with people seeking affirmation, filled with people that are searching for more. Do you know people that when they put up a picture on social media and nobody likes it, they get depressed? The fact that nobody likes your post does not mean nobody likes you. Connecting self-worth to the number of likes on a social media post shows that a person is trying to fill what only God can fill with what man cannot fill. It is a pointer to a void in the heart, a void that only God can fill. Guess who God is relying on to help them make the connection? You.
John 1:12 (KJV) “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (emphasis added). Receiving Jesus is key to becoming a child of God. But beyond becoming God’s children, God wants us to be His ambassadors. As God’s ambassadors, our responsibility is to reach out to people that are far from God and bring them to Him. Regardless of your vocation, you are to reach out to people that are far from God and bring them to God. That is why we are here, to make His appeal and plead with people to “Come back to God”. The question is, who are those that are close to you and far from God? God wants you to reach out as His ambassador, as His representative and bring them back to Him.
Prayer: Father, I declare that Christ will make His appeal through me; I will speak for Jesus telling multitudes to come back to God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
