Step By Step, II

Isaiah 30:21 “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”

So far, we have looked at three out of six steps to being led by the Holy Spirit – Pause And Be Quiet, Humbly Ask The Holy Spirit To Guide You, and Be Willing To Do What He Says.

Step #4: Look To God’s Word. Read the rest of this entry

Remember

Deuteronomy 8:2 “Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.”

You cannot be mighty and be petty at the same time. People who are easily offended are not usually great. People who are easily offended are usually mediocre, average. But you are going to be great, you are not going to be mediocre or average in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Calculate

Luke 14:28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?”

Live your life in such a way that you are underestimated. People underestimate me a lot and I love it. If you do not have your self-worth in place, when people underestimate you, you will feel insulted and feel you need to make a point. No, you do not. Read the rest of this entry

Take Position

Jer. 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

The first Christmas was when Jesus was born physically on earth. Now, if you examine the first Christmas, you will realize that it is not like Christmas today, in the sense that not many people knew about it. Just very few people celebrated the first Christmas and were blessed. Read the rest of this entry

Character & Charisma

1 Cor. 13:2 “What if I could prophesy and understand all secrets and all knowledge? And what if I had faith that moved mountains? I would be nothing, unless I loved others.”(CEV)

It is so amazing that the Holy Spirit is so involved. Sadly, sometimes we just run off without engaging Him. If we do not engage the Holy Spirit, we cannot get the best that God has to offer. The quality of our lives here on earth as believers, is directly proportional to our relationship with the Holy Spirit, to how much of Him we allow in our lives, to how open we are to Him, to how open we are to His leading, to His direction, to His guidance. By The Spirit I

1Cor.12:31 “But earnestly desire (covet) the best gifts…” (emphasis added, KJV paraphrased]

There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit and twelve fruit of the Holy Spirit. We are focusing first on the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12. I encourage you to sit with, read, and study 1 Corinthians 12 again and again. Read the rest of this entry

In His Name, III

Isa. 11:2 “the Spirit of Yahweh will rest upon him, the Spirit of Extraordinary Wisdom, the Spirit of Perfect Understanding the Spirit of Wise Strategy, the Spirit of Mighty Power, the Spirit of Revelation, and the Spirit of the Fear of Yahweh” (TPT)

What is the point of having counsel if you do not have the might, the strength, the capacity to pull it through? 1 Sam. 30:8 (NKJV) “So David inquired of the Lord, saying, ‘Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?…’” What David was saying is, “I have Your counsel but because everybody is tired, everybody is despondent, they are about to stone me. Read the rest of this entry

The third Name of the Holy Spirit that we will be looking at is, The Spirit of Wisdom and     Understanding. Advantage II

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Yesterday, we looked at two benefits of walking with the Holy Spirit and they are: The Holy Spirit Teaches Us To Pray And Gives Us A Prayer Language and The Holy Spirit Comes Bearing Gifts. Read the rest of this entry

Our Advocate

John 14:16-18, & 20 “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth… No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. …I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”

When we look at what theologians have called the dispensation of divinity; there is a period that they categorize as the dispensation of Jehovah, of God the Father. That period is from creation till when Jesus came. Some people say that when Jesus came is the dispensation of the Son. Read the rest of this entry
