Discerning of spirits means recognizing the source of a manifestation. Why is this important? It is because not everything spiritual is from the Holy Spirit. If someone knows your qualifications [you have BSE, MSE, Ph.D., PhD+, PhD++], does it mean the person knows you? He or she may know what you are capable of – faster than Usain Bolt, stronger than Hulk, can defeat Mohammed Ali. Those are just your attributes but that is not your person.
