Obeisance

Ps.63:5 (TPT) “I overflow with praise when I come before you, for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.”

It is impossible for any man to fully satisfy you. The only person that can fully satisfy you is God. That is why it is totally unfair to put the weight of what only God can do on any man. It is unfair for me to expect my wife to fully satisfy me. I would be placing the weight that only God can carry upon  her, is that fair? It is unfair to expect that your husband can fully satisfy you because you are putting the weight that only God can carry on him. It is unfair to expect that your children will fully satisfy you. You would be crushing and destroying them. Instead, look to the one and only one who can satisfy you and that is God.

We should find a place where we are able to come to God by ourselves, with no inhibitions and we are able to bow before Him.

To worship Him in spirit, that is, the faithfulness of obedience and alignment; and in truth, that is, knowing Him through revelation and through His Word. For me in different seasons and at different times, certain songs dominate my playlist. It does not have to be a fancy song. So, I wake up in the morning and I just bow before Him – Father to the fatherless, my rock and my defense, God whose dwelling is holy.

I encourage you to come up with your own worship playlist and as those songs play, open your heart to God and worship your Father, in spirit and in truth. Without any guile, without any deception, without any pretense, without any airs. It is just you and Jesus, and all you are saying is – Lord, I am Yours, You are my King, You are my God, You are my Maker. The Father is looking for those that will worship Him in spirit and in truth. God is on a search mission for those that will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Will He find that heart in you? What I say to the Lord is, ‘look no further Lord, here I am. If You want worship, Your boy is here’.

So, what is that thing that is standing between you and worship? What is that ‘husband’? What is that thing that you take to get your fix? If Jesus were to speak to you today, what will He tell you to go and bring? As we lay down that thing, then we find rivers of living waters. Until we lay it down, there is no flow. For some people, it is an offense. For others, it is how you have been treated in the past. You have to bring it to Him and lay it down.

Prayer (song): You are the love of my life. You are the hope that I cling to. You mean, more than this world to me. I wouldn’t trade you for silver or gold. I wouldn’t trade you for riches untold. You are, You are my everything. Amen!
