The Fire

Acts 2:1&3 (TPT) “On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place. Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them.”

1 Kings 18:38Immediately the fire of the Lord flashed down from heaven and burned up the young bull, the wood, the stones, and the dust…” As the fire of God falls in this season, God’s fire is not going to consume our sacrifice alone. It will engulf us and engulf the physical place where we are such that even the dust of the ground will heal the sick. I know some New Testament Christians say the physical place is not important. I agree that it is not as important.

However, when God places a hand on the location, His hand is on that location. God’s hand is upon God’s Favourite house, as a people and by extension the place we gather. God’s hand is upon the Church and by extension the places where we gather. In this season, the blind will see, the lame will walk, the impossible will become possible. Doors that have been shut will open of their own accord. Things that have been delayed will be released. The God of creation will recreate everything that needs to be recreated in Jesus Mighty Name. 1 Kings 18:40Then Elijah commanded, “Seize all the prophets of Baal. Don’t let a single one escape!” (emphasis added). By the time this season is over, all the prophets of Baal that are represented in your life will be arrested. None, not even one, will escape in the Name of Jesus. 1 Kings 18:39And when all the people saw it, they fell face down on the ground and cried out, “The Lord—he is God! Yes, the Lord is God!” The fire of God draws people’s hearts to Him, and brings people closer to God, always!

What we see in 1 Kings 18:20-40a is a battle of gods. Unknown to many of us, the things we are currently facing in our lives is a battle of gods. Some people have even been dedicated to strange things, strange idols. Our friends in the western world may not be able to relate to this aspect of spiritual warfare. The key thing is there are contentions and there are gods behind them. Every god that is on your case will bow. The God of creation will bring them to their knees in the Mighty Name of Jesus. That is why the Jews burst into a song in Ex.15:11 (KJV) “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” Sing it to Him, enthrone Him in your life and expect His fire to fall.

Prayer: Father, I thank You because this season will not pass me by. I will experience Your fire for good and every enemy of my destiny will be consumed by Your fire, in Jesus Name. Amen!
