By Blood

Lev.17:¹¹ (NKJV) “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.”

When it comes to wrongs, the solution is the Blood of Jesus. The only antidote to your past wrongs and regrets is the Blood of the Lamb. The same way the brass serpent was lifted up [Numbers 21:9], anyone that looks unto Him shall be saved [John 3:14-15]. Jesus is the solution! If you keep carrying the regrets, you are not helping yourself. You need to let go of your wrongs. Sometimes, we need to forgive ourselves. We are willing to forgive other people, but we are tougher on ourselves.

We do not want to forgive ourselves because we let ourselves down. But God is saying, “If you want to enter into the newness that I have for you this year, you need to let go of your worries, let go of your wounds, and let go of your wrongs.” Let it go!

Ps.32:^1-2 “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight!  Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt…” God will forgive your disobedience and He will put your sins out of sight, in the Mighty Name of Jesus [say Amen]. Imagine this: the devil, running to heaven saying, “God, have you seen her? Look at her records!” God says, “Wait! Wait!! Wait!!! That is your record, devil. This is Mine; I have the Master record. What did you say her name is?” The devil responds, “Her name is Mary Chinyelo Abosede Usman!” God says, “Cleared of wrong – no record of wrong!” Ps.32:^1-2 “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight!  Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt…” Note that the Bible did not say, blessed is he that does not sin, because we are human beings, it will happen. You will get angry, yes not all anger is sin.

But when your spouse upsets you and you shout him or her down, that is a sin. It is going to happen; I am not saying it should be happening, is that what I am saying? That is not what I am saying. You are in traffic, yet people will not obey the traffic lights. Then you stop but before you know it everyone is jammed in front of you. Then you came out of your car and started shouting. But then you remember that you are a child of God.

I remember one day the traffic lights turned red and I stopped and eventually the other cars began to stop. Then I heard a loud bang at the back of my car. A bike man ran into my car because he did not want to stop at the light. He wanted to navigate and go. I calmed myself down first, then I stepped out of the car to assess the damage. Guess what the bike rider and passenger said? “Why did you reverse into us?”, and they were shouting me down. Honestly, I would have just beaten them up, before Jesus. But I entered my car and I shut the door, but I was boiling. The light turned green and I drove off. They still drove by me and flashed their five fingers at me. Do you think holiness is in church? Holiness is not in church; holiness is on the streets.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the solution to all my wrongs; I bring my life under the cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus, in Jesus Name. Amen!
