The Attitude
Matt.10:40-41 “Anyone who receives you receives me, and anyone who receives me receives the Father who sent me. If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet…”
If there is a prophetic declaration and you receive it, it is not that you are receiving it from a man. Scripture states that you are receiving it from who? From God, that is how it is. You have to be decisive. Our second example about all or nothing is from 2Kings 13:14-19, please read it again. What should he have done after Elisha gave the prophetic proclamation? The king should have imagined the king of Aram on that floor and struck the floor until Elisha says he should stop. Let it be that Elisha is the one holding him and shouting, ‘it is okay!’ That is what should have happened, but he was complacent.
Make up your mind to give every prophetic proclamation what it takes to conquer completely. James 1:6 “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” (KJV). If you waver like the sea, it is not likely that you will get anything from God. You are either in or out, it is all or nothing. As we approach the end of this year, I want to encourage you to give it your best so that by the time the year is over, heaven will know and proclaim that you have broken the back of Aram completely. It is done! So shall it be, in Jesus Mighty Name.
The third story is the story of Joshua. Joshua 5:13 “Once when Joshua was by Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing before him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you one of us, or one of our adversaries?” What do you do when you are about to wage war and you see a huge man with a sword drawn, who does not look like one of your people? What most people do is run away, but not Joshua. He stood and confronted Him. Joshua 5:14 “He replied, “Neither; but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and he said to him, “What do you command your servant, my lord?” There cannot be two captains in a ship. Even though I am the commander of my own army, when I meet The Commander of heaven’s armies, I bow.
The statement Joshua was making when he fell facedown before the Lord is, I submit to You, I and my troops are on your side. Therefore, what do You want Your servant to do? Most times, we are so consumed with ‘we versus them’ that we say to God, ‘join me so that we can fight my enemies’. But God has not come to join you, He came to check if you would join Him to destroy His enemies who happen to be your enemies. Our allegiance is key because the question is not if God is on your side. The question is, are you on God’s side? Things are about to change dramatically in your favour, the host of heaven has lined up, but the question is, are you on God’s side, or are you running your own agenda? Is it going to be God’s agenda or yours?
Prayer: Father, empower me to engage and prevail. I submit to Your Lordship, fight the battles and take control of the engagements, and let Your Name be glorified, in Jesus Name. Amen!
