Good Dreams

Psalm 139:¹⁶ “You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.”

When the God sized dream becomes a vision, when what could be, becomes what should be, it becomes God’s dream for your life. Let’s delve into four things about God’s dream for your life. The first is, God’s Dream For Your Life Is A Good Dream. Sometimes, we are not sure if God means well for us. To be honest, there was a time in my life that I was not quite sure if I could fully trust God with my life. Does He really know what He is doing? I acknowledge that God exists, but can I fully trust Him? Does He have a good plan for me? If you are in this space where you are unsure, God is saying to you, “For I know the plans I have for you…” (Jeremiah 29:11).

I encourage you to personalize this scripture because the truth is, God wants to give you a bright future and a hope. The question I have asked myself in crossing that barrier is, how will my life look if I fully commit my life to God? I want you to ask yourself this same question. How will your life look if you fully commit to God? If you cannot see something beautiful right now, then I urge you to replace that picture with God’s picture. God has a good future for you; it is a future that is filled with happiness. Again, I ask, how will your life look if you trust God completely with it. You should see a glorious life. If you put your life in God’s hands, I have been sent to tell you that your life will be more beautiful than you can ever even think or imagine. When you fully commit and put your life into God’s hands, your life becomes beautiful, the future will be bright.

I like the way the Message Translation puts Jeremiah 29:¹¹ “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” God is saying calm down because He knows what He is doing. This is just so beautiful! I must admit that sometimes life looks very confusing. Does this happen to you? Life looks like a maze, like someone handed you a bowl of spaghetti and says sort it out. I should sort it out? And at such times, God brings my mind back to Jeremiah 29:11. He says, I know what I am doing, and that just calms me. God knows what He is doing. God has it all planned out, He is not guessing or making it up as the days roll by. God is not wondering about what He is going to do with you tomorrow. God knows what He is doing. He has it all planned out. He is going to take care of you, He will not abandon you. You are going to be sorted out. Remember, the first thing is God’s dream for you is a good dream. That is huge and very comforting.

Prayer: Father, I praise You for Your dream for me is a good dream. Lord, keep me in Your plans for me because my life is in Your hands, in Jesus Name. Amen!
