Genesis 22:^2-3 “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering… The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and… set out for the place God had told him about.”

I should move fast When God Tells Me to Do Something. For a lot of people, Jesus is beckoning on you. You need to respond immediately. For some, it is an instruction God has given to you, but you are not doing it immediately. That is the fastest way to get out of sync in life. If God says, “Move with the cloud”, you obey immediately. That is how to be in sync in life. Nobody is a superstar. What has God told you to do? Has He told you to read your Bible? Has He told you to pray and spend more time with Him? Has He told you to stop robbing Him with your tithe? Has He told you to invite someone to church? What has God told you to do? Psalm 119:⁶⁰ “Without delay, I hurry to obey your commands.” (GNT, emphasis added). Every time you delay on an instruction, you are delaying your destiny and you get out of sync.

When should I move fast? When I Need To Ask or Offer Forgiveness. Anytime you need to ask for forgiveness, move fast. Just do it! Anytime you need to offer forgiveness, do not think, just do it. Forgiveness is a choice that depends on you and not on the other person. Forgiveness is not a function of whether the person has said sorry or not. Forgiveness is a function of whether you have obeyed God and offered forgiveness. It is strictly based on your volition. Matthew 5:^23-24 “This is how I want you to conduct yourself in these matters. If you enter your place of worship and, about to make an offering, you suddenly remember a grudge a friend has against you, abandon your offering, leave immediately, go to this friend and make things right. Then and only then, come back and work things out with God.” (MSG, emphasis added). God says even worship is not an excuse not to forgive.

When should I move fast? When I Have Made a Promise to God. When you make a promise to God, do not delay. That is not the time to choose to do xyz first. As soon as you can sort out the vow or the promise, make it happen. Ecclesiastes 5:⁴ “So when you make a promise to God, keep it as quickly as possible. He has no use for a fool. Do what you promise to do.” (GNT, emphasis added). It is in the Bible. The truth about life is that there is almost nothing that God would not do for people who keep their promises to Him. That has been my experience. And it is because you remind Him of Himself. God is a promise keeper and when He sees one of His children behaving like Him, He will say I need to surprise this boy.  So, do what you have promised to do.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the grace to move immediately when You tell me to do something, when I need to offer forgiveness, and when I make a promise to God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
