The Way

John 14:6 “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

For the next few days, we will be turning our focus to John 11:1-44. Please read it. We must not lose the art of reading the Bible. Even if you are familiar with the text and the story, do not skip any verse because, with God, you have to go through the scriptures. You must get acquainted with the Word. The Word of God must excite you. You cannot sustain a walk with God by being impatient with the scriptures. If you want to sustain a walk with God, you need to settle down with the scriptures. I am confident that in this season, God will change the story of your life. And everywhere you have experienced a blockage, God will make a way for you. Even in the places where you think there is no way, God will make a way for you in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

John 11:39 “Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.” When Jesus, The Way Maker arrives on the scene, you will be unable to talk Him out of making a way for you. When Jesus showed up, Martha could not talk Him out of making a way. You have come into God’s presence today seeking Him and when God shows up you will not be able to talk Him out of making a way for you. John 11:1-44 (please read) highlights six ways and over the next few days, we will be looking at five of them. The sixth one is your assignment. So, even before we get in, I pray that these five ways we will highlight in John 11:1-44 will open up to you in the Name of Jesus.

The first way that I am praying will open up to you is The Way of Access To Jesus. John 11:3 “So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.” These two sisters had access to Jesus. When you come to God by faith, God will not turn His back on you. God says in His Word that He will not cast out anyone who comes to Him (John 6:37). We see a combo of what Mary represents and what Martha represents coming to Jesus. Interestingly, the two sisters in our lives also come to Jesus for help. We approach Jesus with a combination of Martha (worry) and Mary (worship). Sometimes, we approach with the combo of our work for Jesus (Martha) and our walk with Jesus (Mary) saying, consider my work for You and my walk with You, Jesus, and make a way for me. Regardless of what your combo is, Jesus does not ignore it. I do not know what you have been told. You may think God is ignoring your prayers or that your worries are getting in the way. I am here to tell you that Jesus is not ignoring you.

Prayer: Father, let the way of access to Jesus open to me in undeniable ways in this season, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
