By Fire

Deuteronomy 9:3 “Therefore understand today that the Lord your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has said to you.” (NKJV)

1 Kings 18:20-21,24 So Ahab summoned all the people of Israel and the prophets to Mount Carmel. Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent… “Then call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord. The god who answers by setting fire to the wood is the true God!” And all the people agreed. The truth is that some things only answer to fire, and you should not be apologetic. Sometimes, Christians are too nice. It is only a Christian that will apologize for praying at a restaurant before eating. You are there to eat and you know you need to pray, but you are looking at the waiter. My friend, just close your eyes and pray.

The power of the Holy Spirit is available to you more than it was available to Elijah. Do you know that? Therefore, if Elijah can call down fire, you can and you will. Every village force on your case, we call down the fire of the Holy Spirit to consume them now in the Mighty Name of Jesus (say Amen). The King James Version of 1 Kings 18:24 reads, “…the God that answereth by fire, let him be God.” Do not ever be afraid of confrontation of your destiny because every confrontation of your destiny is an opportunity for you to prove that God is God. Every confrontation of your destiny is an opportunity for you to prove that you are serving the God that is alive and well.

A man (the boss) had been persecuting a lady (his subordinate) and refused to promote. Then one day he said to her that she will not get promoted in the organization, except over his dead body. The lady said, “Sir, please do not say that.’ But the man was angry and told her to get out of his office. That her promotion will only happen over his dead body. And the lady said, ‘So be it’ and walked out. Of course, you know how the story ended. The man dropped dead that week and the lady was promoted. Promotion is so little compared to the life of a human being. And I am definitely not saying it is worth the man’s life. However, every time someone confronts your destiny, if they insist on dying and being buried, ‘So be it’.

It is at Mount Carmel that you settle that matter. I want to encourage you to take the free course on Altars on the GFH Academy. When we engage in fasting, praise, and prayer, we are building altars and the fire of God will fall. So, stay attentive! Stay alert!

Prayer (song): Let the fire of The Lord come down (x2); Let the fire of The Lord from Heaven come down, let the fire of The Lord come down. Amen!
