Fight!
Nehemiah 4:14 “Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!”
A person who plots with others to hate on you, spread rumours about you, or to harm you if they can, is a Conspirator. The Bible says in 1 John 3:15 that hate is on the murder spectrum. Anyone trying to destroy you can kill you and is your enemy. It is what it is. God says if you want to have friends, you need to be friendly. When you want to start a relationship with someone, you are not hoping that the person will become a conspirator. Nobody does that. When we are striking out relationships, we try to look for the best and all that. But you need a conspirator.
2 Kings 4:1 “One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out, “My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.” (emphasis added). The conspirator here is the creditor. The term of the loan is not known to us. So, we are not even going into the terms and conditions of the loan. We are just going to focus on the effects of the situation. The conspirator, the creditor came threatening. Conspirators threaten to harm. Some threaten, some go ahead to harm and if you ignore the threats, you are going to be harmed. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that you see things as you ought to see them. You will not ignore the things that are threatening your wellbeing in the Name of Jesus. It is huge.
If this woman did nothing, if she had waved it off as ‘just a threat’ and nothing more. She would have lost her two sons. The truth is that you must assume that anyone that is able to threaten you, is able to carry out their threats. That is how to be on the offensive, that is how to win. You must assume that they are able to carry out their threads and you must unleash everything you have to get out of that situation. This creditor is threatening to take the two sons. The enemy does not stop when you give him an inch or a foothold. He does not stop. You cannot say, let me lose some to the devil, and just be happy with this small’.
Listen, after he takes what you are willing to give, he will come for what you are not willing to give. So, you must fight, even for the things you think you are willing to give and push back the enemy. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, satan will have no ground in you, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Satan will have no hold on you and no hold on all that is yours in the Name of Jesus. The creditor threatened not just to take the two sons but to take them as slaves.
Prayer: Father, You are my great and glorious God, therefore I will not be afraid of the enemy. I take my stand in You and I fight for all that is mine, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
