Remarkable Things

2 Kings 4:6 “Soon every container was full to the brim! “Bring me another jar,” she said to one of her sons. “There aren’t any more!” he told her. And then the oil stopped flowing.”

Imagine this widow’s story, she came to Elisha “empty” but at the end of the day, she came into prosperity. She must have had fun because the Word of God says

 in Ecclesiastes 7:14 “In the day of prosperity be joyful…”. In the day of prosperity, do not be afraid. Do not entertain thoughts like, maybe I am going to lose this or maybe this is not going to last. It will last in Jesus Name! Enjoy it! In the day of prosperity, enjoy it limitlessly because that is God’s heart, God’s will, and God’s plan for you. Pause and let it sink in: God wants you to have fun in Him. God wants you to have pleasure in Him. God wants you to enjoy Him.

Psalm 149:2 “Let Israel be glad in its Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.” (NRSV). You are to be glad and rejoice in God. This woman just came out of a life-threatening situation for her and her children. She must have been glad, and she must have rejoiced. She must have had a lot of fun looking at the creditor in the face and asking, “How much is the debt again? Oh, X amount? Here you go and please have a little extra for your trouble.” Imagine the joy she would feel. So beautiful. Psalm 126:2 “Our mouths were filled with laughter; our tongues were spilling over into song. The word went out across the prairies and deserts, across the hills, over the oceans wide, from nation to nation: “The Eternal has done remarkable things for them.” (The Voice). 

Your mouth will be filled with laughter, and your tongue will spill over into song in the Name of Jesus. It is one thing to laugh, but by the time your laughter turns into songs, it is an overflow. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, your laughter will not stop at laughter. It will overflow into songs in the Name of Jesus. The word of what God has done for you will spread abroad. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the miracles God is doing and will do in your life, the news of it will go across the desert, across the hills, over the oceans wide, and it will go from nation to nation. And that word will be, “See what remarkable things the Eternal has done for Olufemi Monehin”. “See what remarkable things the Eternal has done for you.

That would have been the story of this woman. One day, she was about to lose her two sons. The next day, she is flowing in abundance. And they were like see what remarkable things the Eternal has done. That will be your story in the Name of Jesus. If you receive it say, “Amen”. 

Prayer: Father, I declare that it will be impossible for me to hide the remarkable things You will do in my life, the news of it will spread to the ends of the earth, in Jesus Name. Amen!
