Implications
Acts 15:16 “After these things I will return, And I will rebuild the tent of David which has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will restore it.” (AMP).
It is interesting to note that these places of worship were built by men, but they were houses of God. And in naming them God did not say this is the Temple of Jehovah, or the Tabernacle of Yahweh. God did not say, this is the Tent of El-Elyon. The Tabernacle that Moses built by the help and instruction of God, God called it the Tent of Moses. The Temple that Solomon built by instruction of God, was provided for mainly by David. If Solomon provided anything at all, it was nothing compared to what David provided. Yet, God did not say this is the Temple of Yahweh or of Jehovah. God named it after Solomon.
The Tabernacle that David built for Him, God named it the Tabernacle of David. In fact, even referring to it in the Old and New Testament, in Amos as the Tabernacle of David and in the Acts of the Apostles as the Tabernacle of David. What I am saying is, if you have the capacity to build it, God puts your name on it. I know that this will mess up some people’s theology. But it is in the Bible. If you have the capacity to build it, God puts your name on it. He assigns the territory to you, even His own place of worship. Jabez prayed that God will enlarge his coast. God gave him a city and named it Jabez.
There was a video that made the rounds a while back about
all the great enterprises in the world. Ford, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, most of them are names of people. Why? It is because God has said He will make your name great. God wants to give you a territory. But, Pastor, I just moved to XYZ country. God wants to give you a city there that will have your name. When your mind is stretched and enlarged. Your heart and your strength will be enlarged. Your capacity will be enlarged. Inadvertently, your territory will be enlarged. In your field of endeavour, God wants to enlarge your capacity. Even if the city already has a name, who says it cannot be renamed after you? Names can be changed.
Listen, the God we serve, nothing is impossible with Him. He says He will enlarge your territory. Do you receive it? The five implications of “tent” and the enlargement thereof are the Cumulative Increase Of Influence, the Expansion Of God’s Kingdom, “Tent” Speaks Of Covering And Love, The Temporary Nature Of Our Habitation, and Portability And Flexibility.
Prayer: Father, increase my capacity so I can be more for You, in Jesus Name. Amen!
