Christ Alone

2 Corinthians 3:¹⁸ “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (KJV).

Yesterday, we said that everyone is betting their lives on something consciously or unconsciously. The atheist is betting his life on the fact that there is no God. Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, and Scientologists are betting their lives on something. But we are betting our lives on Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. We are betting our lives that Jesus Christ is the way, He is the truth, and He alone is the life. Your brother is betting his life on something. Your spouse is betting his life on something. Politicians are betting their lives on something, on bullying, cheating, and grabbing power. Yet, God’s Word says, many are the devices in the hearts of men, but it is the counsel of God that will stand (Proverbs 19:21).

The beauty of the privilege of being a child of God is that your existence, your alliance, and your allegiance are beyond a country. It is to the Kingdom. You are a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. That Kingdom knows no boundaries on earth. That Kingdom exists in Nigeria, Togo, Kenya, South Africa, America, Sweden, and all the nations of the world. So, you have to see yourself as a citizen of the Kingdom of God. And as a citizen of the Kingdom of God, you run on the constitution of the Kingdom of God, which is the Word of God. You walk and run on the realities of the Word of God. And God is saying that He wants to take you from glory to glory. What does that even mean, from glory to glory? It simply means that you will go from grace to grace in the Name of Jesus. You will go from strength to strength.

Like the scriptures say in Psalm 84:⁷ “They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]…” (AMP). You will go from strength to strength, increasing in victorious power in the Name of Jesus. Proverbs 4:¹⁸ “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” (NKJV). Your path spiritually, financially, emotionally, and academically will be like the shining sun in the Name of Jesus. You will go from glory to glory. You will shine brighter and brighter. As you behold the glory of God, you are transitioned from strength to strength, glory to glory. This is the privilege and the beauty of seasons of fasting and waiting on God. It impacts every part of your life. It impacts your spirit, soul, and body. It is scientifically and medically proven that times of fasting are times of rejuvenation. It is easier to fast when as a group than doing it by yourself.

Prayer: Father, help me live and operate daily as a citizen of the Kingdom. And as I appear before You daily, cause me to go from glory to glory, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
