Just Don’t!

Isaiah 28:26&29 “The farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom.”

If you are going to find new strength, the first thing you need to do is to Decide On The Vision For Your Life. Secondly, you have to Decide On How To Navigate Stress. Thirdly, you have to See Value And Results In What You Do. You have to decide to see value and results in the work of your life, in what you do. Galatians 6:9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (emphasis added). It is very possible to be doing what is good and get tired. The fact that you are tired does not mean you are not doing what is good. Some people think that being tired may be a pointer to the fact that they are not doing the right thing, or they are not in the right place.

The fact that you are tired does not mean you are not doing the right thing. In fact, if you do the right thing for long enough and you don’t see the value and results in it, you will get tired. Not before the right time, not after the right time, but at just the right time you will reap a harvest of blessings. You will not give up before the right time for your blessings in the Name of Jesus. The longer you work without seeing results, the more tired you begin to feel. Yet, the fact that you feel tired, burnt out, and exasperated does not mean you are not doing the right thing.

Don’t get tired of doing what is good means you can be doing what is good and still get tired. So, what is the antidote? The antidote is you see value and results in what you do. You must always recognize your wins and celebrate them. You must always see value. How do I do that? The answer is in the same passage of scripture. Galatians 6:9 …At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” God is using the analogy of farming, so it means you need to learn to think like a farmer to understand this and not get weary. There are three obvious things that farmers know that we must know.

The first is that you need to Plant Good Seeds. Do not become weary in doing good. You need to plant and keep planting good seeds. There was a time when I lived in Northern Nigeria for about a year. And when they bring in their millet harvest, the first thing they do is select the seeds for the next planting season. Guess what? They select the best of the millet for planting and the other ones some eaten by weevils, some not so good is what they grind and eat. I can never forget it because it was very instructive. I would think that you will eat the best one. They said no, you plant the best seeds because of the future. You must believe in a brighter future.

Prayer: Father, I ask for the strength to keep doing and not give up, in Jesus Name. Amen!
