Nothing Withheld

Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else? Rom.8:32

‘If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?’ Rom.8:32 [MSG]. The fact that God now calls us His children is a guarantee that nothing can be withheld from us. ‘Then God said, Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food’ Gen.1:29. God did not withhold anything from us then and God will not withhold anything from us now. It is important to understand the difference between a boundary and something that is withheld so that you know how to approach God. If God be for us, nothing will be withheld from us. Again this is one of those portions of scripture you want to commit to memory and personalize. Who else among His creation did He give the great honour of asking and the added guarantee of receiving what you ask for? What is that expectation that is keeping you up at night or is consuming you so much you cannot even spend quality time with God? The Good News for you today is that God did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for you. So what will He not give you? You cannot resign your fate to the current void you feel in your life. Barrenness is not your lot. God has far greater things in store for you. Is the worth of that expectation more valuable to God than Jesus? Is the need, job, child or breakthrough you trust God for more valuable than Jesus? You need to understand and know it in your heart that because God is for you, nothing will be withheld from you. ‘…the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows’ Matt.10:30-31. A lot of people today doubt that prosperity is part of God’s plan for them. It costs Him nothing. You are valuable to God; your dreams and aspirations matter to the Father.

Prayer: Father, what are mere mortals that You should think about them, human beings that You should care for them? [Ps.8:4]. I am grateful Lord. It’s a privilege to be called valuable to You Lord.
