‘And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing… for God was with him.’ Acts 10:38

The presence of God creates the anointing. And the anointing sustains the presence. They go hand in hand. If Jesus needed the anointing, trust me, you need the anointing too. God anointed Jesus and He will anoint you too but you must desire it. The anointing does a couple of things in the life of every believer besides breaking yokes. The anointing enables you to walk in the supernatural, Jesus was anointed and He was able to walk in the supernatural. There anointing prepares you for the work that God has called you into as exemplified in the scripture above [1Samuel 16:13]. The anointing teaches you. It resurrects and empowers your intuition [your teacher on the inside]. So that when you need to make a decision, the anointing on your inside will guide you. ‘But you have received the Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what He teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as He has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.’ 1John2:27. The anointing has power in itself to transform you totally. ‘Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it over Saul’s head… At that time the Spirit of the LORD will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them. You will be changed into a different person’ 1Sam.10:1a&6. The anointing makes you a problem solver as in the case of Joseph [Pharaoh], David [goliath], Daniel [Nebuchadnezzar]. The anointing guarantees your victory and protection. ‘I have found my servant David. I have anointed him with my holy oil. I will steady him with my hand; with my powerful arm I will make him strong. His enemies will not defeat him, nor will the wicked overpower him. I will beat down his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him.’ Ps.89:20-23. Receiving the anointing starts with accepting Jesus as Lord of your life. Then desire the life changing anointing of the Holy Spirit today.

Prayer: Father Lord, I come before You in the Name of Jesus asking for a fresh anointing over my life. I pray that the full power of the anointing will be evident in my life, in Jesus Name.
