Healthy Views

‘Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you’ Isa.43:4

God in His Words puts before us a multitude of people who had healthy views of themselves. Examples He wants us to follow in our own lives. People like Jabez; Esther; Daniel, Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego; and David. Jesus also lived out the perfect example of a healthy view of self which is why He urges us to ‘take His yoke and learn of Him’. The most important view is God’s view. Only what God says about us matters. ‘Listen to the LORD who created you… the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior… Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. Do not be afraid, for I am with you…Isa.43:1-5. God sees you as precious and special. That is how you are because God never lies. Inspite of your past, God still calls you the apple of His eye. Being in Christ makes you totally new in the sight of God. You have to believe it and live it. Saul when he became Paul just took up the purpose that God gave him and ran with it. At the end he was able to say he had run his race and ended well. He never made reference to his past and neither should you. Move forward into what God has called you for. God is your source, you came from Him and you belong to Him. He will provide for you. When you want something, try to develop the habit of asking God first. God can decide to use anyone to bless you. God will provide the things you need even without your knowledge. God says you are royalty and He has given you His own name. The minute you begin to believe what God has said about you, your baggage will start to drop. Be who God made you to be and those who matter wouldn’t mind and those who mind wouldn’t matter.

Prayer: Father, rid me totally of the baggage of unfulfilled expectations, the baggage of unhealthy relationships, the baggage  of unresolved pain, and unhealthy view of self, in Jesus Name.
