Joseph, Caleb and Joshua
‘Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence’ 1Cor.10:12 [MSG]
God gave Joseph a great vision which he shared with his father and his brothers. His brothers became envious and conspired to kill him. But God delivered him and instead He was sold into slavery. Here was Joseph with his big vision but on his way to become a slave in Egypt. Joseph could have decided to hold on to the goodness in his father’s house and refuse to learn in the wilderness. But Joseph transitioned well and remained a prime minister in his heart. Even in Potiphar’s house he excelled. He functioned so well that Potiphar trusted Joseph with his household for Joseph. Joseph was betrayed by Potiphar’s wife. Joseph knew his God and because of this excelled still even in prison. He was a ruler on the inside and at the right time when the palace was ready God took him there. If you do not prepare yourself when you are in the prison or when you are serving under someone, the palace may never be ready for you. You do your part and God will do His part. The sooner you do your part, the sooner you will get out of the wilderness. I pray that God will give you the spirit of excellence.
Caleb and Joshua also transitioned excellently. When every other person saw themselves as grasshoppers, these two saw victory. It was not the giants that told them they are grasshoppers, it was their own testimony. But Caleb and Joshua held on to a different testimony. The testimony of the I AM. The Bible says that Caleb had another spirit in him. I pray that the Spirit of the Most High God will rest upon you in Jesus Name. Then when others say there is a casting down, you will say there is a lifting up and it shall be so. Caleb and Joshua transitioned; they were the only two out of the thousands that God brought out to Egypt who transitioned properly. You will not die in the wilderness in Jesus name. The Spirit of God and the excellence He has put in you will lead you to your Promised Land.
Prayer: Father, I declare that my testimony amidst trials shall be different because I choose to keep my eyes on You. Thank You Lord for being my deliverer, in Jesus Name.
